Wish FM 107.5 made a distinguishing milestone of FM radio. Their YouTube channel reached 1 million subscribers yesterday, March 15.
WISH FM 107.5 (DWNU-FM) heralded a distinctive achievement that has never done before; their YouTube channel has reached the 1 million subscribers mark.
Their YouTube channel contains mostly performances from local artists showcasing their original compositions and/or covers of all-time hits on the mobile radio booth fittingly called the “Wish FM Bus,” since 2014, although several foreign acts performed there. One example of them was The Moffatts, with their famous signature song, “I’ll Be There for You” were able to draw its Batang 90s fans on both sides prior to their leg of the Farewell Concert tour three weeks ago.
The said remote “Wischlusive” performances are part of their radio program “The Roadshow,” which can be seen on “Wish 107.5 TV” on UNTV 37, weekdays from 4:30-5:30 p.m.
Who would’ve thought an underdog in the FM band achieve such an accomplishment?
Are they loyal listeners? Well, maybe.
What about radiophiles? Pwede rin.
However, the other sector that helped them achieve that goal is the outsiders. No, they’re not necessarily those who are outside of the bus but those YouTube channels, outside of the country, with their chock-full of reaction videos.
Despite the religious ownership and its slant like those in their TV counterpart and like their rival religious groups, they prioritize innovation.
The mobile radio booth is not a new concept for them as their sister AM radio — Radyo La Verdad 1530 kHz (DWUN-AM) — began rolling around two years prior. Vehicles aside, the FM station also acquired Orban 8500 audio processor to create a consistent and clean sound output and high-definition cameras to capture their glorious 1080p visual output of Wishclusive performances.
Although the Turf would not intentionally wanted to condescend competitors, it seems mainstream FM radio stations will be jealous and envious to this news.
Nevertheless and despite the differences, Timow’s Turf congratulates the personnel behind Wish FM for reaching such an attainment. To God be the Glory!
